We are not worried about finding a complete curriculum for first grade! We have had the opportunity to review
1st Grade Entire School Year Curriculumand we have found it has everything for every subject for our first grader!
Homeschool Easy has everything from math to social studies all in one place and it is on a fabulous website which was easy to navigate and simply bursting at the seams with materials for us to use this year!
This is basically a back to the basics curriculum which helps me navigate each subject with our first grade rock star and help her learn and have fun doing so. An added bonus for my family? No common core! Can I hear a hallelujah? The curriculum kit includes 32 weeks of materials for math, grammar, history, reading, science and writing for each school day. We simply downloaded the worksheets needed for each subject for each day as we went along, went to the download and clicked on the links as directed. So super easy but also very rich in content. I didn’t have to search elsewhere for printables, books or videos: everything was included and easy to find!
We really enjoyed how each subject was rich and diverse and had easy to follow directions with links to educational and relevant videos to accompany each page of work.
Anyone that knows my family at all knows how we absolutely adore and devour science! This curriculum helped our spunky rock star first grader enjoy her very own level of science! She enjoys it and I have to say it earned a thumbs up in our home: becoming McLain family approved! We couldn’t wait to work on all of the other subjects!
We found all subjects engaging, rich in information and directions easy to follow. The online content complemented the paperwork perfectly, the books available for us to read were delightful and at our reading level. It is very comforting knowing we have all we need as a complete curriculum package all in one affordable place.
