PositiveAction for Christ- My Review

Disclaimer: I received a FREE copy of this product through the HOMESCHOOL REVIEW CREW in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way.
One of my greatest joys in teaching school in my own home is the freedom of teaching the Bible. In our home we are free to read and openly discuss the Bible and truly take the time to study and understand what we believe. When we had the opportunity to review Positive Action Bible Curriculum 4th Grade Building Life Castles ( https://positiveaction.org/fourthedition/ )my family and I were pretty excited. I am always looking for a way to help encourage my children in their studies of the Bible and help make it not only relevant but fun and engaging. We reviewed the 4th Grade – Building Life Castles and found it fit perfectly into our Bible study time each day.

We loved the student workbook and the teacher manual: both included for our review

With 35 lessons ranging from topics such as: “Who is Jesus, The Resurrection of Jesus, The Fruit of the Spirit, Your Inner Character, Compassion for Others, Making Wise Choices and A Race Well Run”, we can study the Bible with this one curriculum for 175 days if we study each lesson for five days or 140 days if we study each lesson for four days or 105 days if we study for three days per week. Since we study each day of the week we chose the five day option and found it worked perfectly for us.

This amazing curriculum arrived with a teacher manual and student book

With our own Bible in hand, the teacher manual and student workbook, we were ready to begin. My daughter worked in the workbook as I read in the teacher manual. The teacher manual walks me step by step through each lesson in easy to follow prompts as she followed along in her student book. The lessons opened up new dialogue and led us in a wonderful journey of studying God’s Word.

The student workbook is easy to understand yet challenging and engaging

The teacher manual and student book led us easily to read from the Bible and answer questions, discuss what we had read and discover new vocabulary words. My daughter was not the only one learning new things! As we read and studied, I found I was learning as well! We are never too old to find we can also learn new things. I have often heard my Pastor say that each time he read God’s Word he found something new and relevant for the day or time he was going through in his life and I found this to be true as I studied with my daughter. It has truly been a joy to read familiar verses yet find new life in them as we study!

I love the prompts given to help encourage an enriching dialogue that opened up discussions with my daughter

I know my family and I have enjoyed this curriculum and I look forward to rising each morning and learning something new! This is just what we needed to help encourage us to find joy in God’s Word and study with a new outlook. I hope you will take a moment to visit

This curriculum has been a wonderful addition to our school day! We begin each morning discussing our values and beliefs and it helps encourage us as we begin our day. I could see this as a great tool for Sunday school teachers, pastors, teachers and homeschool parents. Take a few moments to read about the history and philosphy of this nonprofit ministry at positiveaction.org/about.

  1. I agree. I also have learned new information about scripture I didn’t see before. This has been a great Bible study to have in our school as well.
    Great review!

    1. Thank you Vickie! I told my daughter one morning that I had learned something new and she was amazed! I explained to her that we can always learn new things each time we study the Bible and that I was by far not an expert. I have truly enjoyed the studies and the time with my daughter. Thank you so much for stopping by! 🙂
