My teenagers have had a blast with our review of the
Coding for Kids Annual Membership from Simply Coding ! I will have to admit I didn’t really understand a lot of what they were doing or what they were telling me about the program but I do know this: I have two teenagers who have been engaged and enjoying this program and that is all I need to know!
My son said “It was a blast!” When I questioned him about why coding is such a big deal he responded with “you have to understand coding to create games and a lot of other cool things on computers. It takes a lot of concentration and I generally wouldn’t be able to come up with a variety of things on my own, so this site has been really helpful at walking me step by step through each process. I think if I continue with this, I could come up with some really cool games or programs. Can you imagine doing all of this without help? See, they designed this so we would figure out how to design images and stuff so hopefully one day, I could use what they have taught me and do it on my own. It’s amazing to think I could get a job using this stuff. Wouldn’t that be cool?”
So, although I am basically technologically deficient, my kids have grown up in a world full of new technological advances with a lot more on the horizon. Coding is a great way to get my kids focused and learning in a fun way. I love that this program is designed for ease of use. My kids logged in on their own and worked independently and with great satisfaction. Each step was explained in details that they understood and I only had to step back and watch or listen for their laughs and show up for a few pictures of their progress.
With an annual membership my kids can learn to design websites, games, apps and more. The company is graciously offering a free 10 day trial so you can try it in your own home without obligation.
